2026 medical and dental plan costs
Across the United States, healthcare costs continue to rise due to inflation, advances in medical technology, and the growing availability of high-cost prescription drugs.
In consideration of multiple factors, here is what you can expect as it relates to employee costs:
- Employee medical premiums will increase approximately 5%1 from last year to help sustain the quality of care you rely on.
- As a result of measures taken to keep the increase in premiums low and ensure that costs are fair for all employees, as well as IRS-mandated increases, some employees will see higher deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums, accounting for the remaining ~1% in the overall cost increase for employees.
Despite these adjustments, UBS remains deeply committed to supporting your health and well-being. In 2026, UBS will invest $337.6 million in medical, prescription drug, and dental programs to help minimize the impact on you and your family.
This investment reflects our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive, competitive benefits that support your physical, emotional, and financial wellness.
Starting in 2026, employees will see modest increases in dental plan contributions. These adjustments help maintain the quality of coverage while keeping overall costs competitive and sustainable.
Other important things to know for 2026
Two exciting updates are coming your way!
$0 Telehealth visits:
Beginning January 1, 2026, telehealth services will be available to you with no copays, no deductibles — just access to quality care, when it fits your schedule.
Higher DCFSA limit:
The annual contribution limit for your Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA) is increasing to $7,500. If your 2026 Benefits Base Salary is under $100,000, UBS will continue to match 100% of your contribution up to $1,000 per year to your FSA to offset dependent day care expenses.
1Keep in mind that premiums, deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums are tied to your benefit elections, your Benefits Base Salary (BBS) and how many family members you cover. With an increase of approximately 6% in employee medical contributions for 2026, your costs may rise even if your elections and covered family members remain the same. Actual premium rates will continue to be based on your BBS, your plan choice and how many family members you choose to cover.
The 2026 medical plan employee contributions provided do not include the Tobacco User Surcharge.
